Malabar

Malabar is a beautiful tea plantation area on the plateau of Bandung (40 km south of the city of Bandung), and maleber is a crowded region area on the plateau of Bandung (0 km center of the city of Bandung). It’s cool vs hot, quiet vs crowded.
Malabar tea plantation was founded by brilliant dutchman called K.A.R Bosscha in 1896-1928 (He came to Java in 1887).
Here i want to share same of Malabar picture (not a Maleber).
It was part of my vacation at Sedep.

It took almost 12 year

6-8 April 2007 is a perfect holiday, we have planned this trip from 2 or 3 week ago, and Sedep is the destination, Sedep is a tiny part of a huge tea plantation area (Pangalengan-Malabar) from South Bandung to Mount Papandayan Garut (West Java), it’s a mountain range and a high altitude places (about 1500 m-1600 m). Everytime you move your head there’s a tea everywhere, it’s like green giant carpet which wrap up the mountain.
